Poker Hand Rankings

MansonPoker.com had provided a detailed list of every possible combination of cards (hand) that can be dealt to you in the game of Texas Holdem. In all texas holdem games played, poker players must know and differentiate the Holdem Hands. The list of the hands starts with the highest and ends with the lowest one.

Five of a Kind - This card combination is only possible when using wild cards and this hand is the highest possible poker hand. When more than one hand has five of a kind, the higher card wins.

Royal Flush - A straight from a ten to an ace and all five cards of the same suit. In poker suit does not matter and pots are split between equally strong hands.

Straight Flush - This is known as the strongest possible natural Texas Holdem hand. A straight flush contains five cards in order and all of them are the of same suit. Ace can be used as low and high card.

Four of a Kind - This is a poker card combination of four cards, which are of the same rank. If it happens that there are two or more hands that qualify, the hand with the higher ranking four of a kind wins.

Full House - Three cards of a kind and a pair are contained in this poker hand. First three of a kind brokes ties and then the pair brokes it.

Flush - It is a poker hand in which all of the cards are the same suit.

Straight - In Straight there are five cards in order. An ace may accept a value of high or low card.

Three of a Kind - This poker hand consists three cards of the same rank, and the remaining two cards are not a pair. Again, the hand that contains the highest three of a kind wins. When both three of a kind hands are the same class, then they compare high cards.

Two Pair - A combination of two distinct pairs of cards and a fifth card. In such a poker hand the highest pair wins the pot. When both hands have the same high pair, the second pair should be compared and the higher wins. If it happens both hands to have the same pairs then the remaining high card determines the winner.

Pair - This is a poker hand that consists of one pair with three distinct cards.

High Card - If you are dealt cards and they do not match to any of the hands that are listed above, then you have High Card. This if the lowest card combination that can be dealt in Texas Holdem.
